Welcome to Ragley
The family home of the Marquess & Marchioness of Hertford, Ragley Hall is one of the earliest and loveliest of England’s Palladian Houses which dates back to 1680. Set in beautiful gardens, the House offers a range of stunning rooms for your civil ceremony or wedding reception ranging from the grand and imposing Great Hall to the intimate and luxurious Red Saloon. As your guests arrive they will be wowed by the lavish setting and will have an unforgettable experience thanks to our experienced and dedicated team here at Ragley.
Civil Wedding ceremonies for up to 200 guests can be held in the Great Hall which, with its ornate baroque plasterwork, provides a fairy-tale setting. Smaller ceremonies may be held in the Red Saloon, which holds up to 80 or in the Library, which originally formed part of the chapel at Ragley and provides a cosy and inviting setting with its roaring log fire for up to 46 guests.
The Drinks Reception
Whatever the weather, Ragley can offer the perfect setting for your drinks reception. In summer, the West Terrace provides a glorious setting for Champagne and Canapés on the lawn whilst enjoying views of the Rose Garden and the Parkland beyond. This is an ideal location for Photographs to be taken as your guests have the opportunity to enjoy the Gardens. An alternative is the Red Saloon which was designed by Wyatt in 1780, from when the opulent décor remains, with Louis XVI furniture and beautiful silk damask on the walls. This room also overlooks the Rose Garden and the stunning views beyond and leads straight into the Great Hall.
The Wedding Breakfast
Your Wedding Breakfast can take place in the Great Hall, which can seat up to 150 or the Red Saloon which accommodates 50 guests. Larger numbers can be catered for in a marquee which can be located on either the West Terrace or the Polo Field, depending on the number of guests. Ragley enjoys a well-deserved reputation for superb cuisine and excellent service and all of our menus have been crafted by our Head Chef to offer you a range of classic and contemporary dishes. Many of our ingredients are sourced locally and much of our meat is sourced from the Ragley Estate. We also offer an extensive wine list to compliment your meal. If you have your own menu ideas or have any special dietary requirements, our Chef will be more than happy to work with you to put together a menu to fulfill your needs.
Your Wedding Reception
Following your Wedding Breakfast, the celebrations can continue with the music and entertainment of your choice. The Hertford Room on the ground floor of the House is the perfect place for dancing and is adjacent to the newly refurbished Subhall bar area which offers your guests a full range of drinks. This area can be opened up into the Gardens, where a hog roast or BBQ is the perfect solution for catering for evening guests. A stunning fireworks display in front of the House can be arranged to create the perfect end to your day
